What a wonderful time for me to remember we have reviews to do. The day before they're due. Thank god I'm on semester break and can actually do it.
Splash page - Disclaimer page? That's what it looks like to me. Like someone just doesn't want to put the disclaimer on their front page. Not that it matters... I like the pictures of Moon's various forms-- not that you can really tell on some of them.
Layout - Frames. The top banner looks funny to me, but then, that's probably because of the resolution I've got my screen on. *grins* The intro is pretty much a discussion of what each link is, when it's kinda obvious what each section is.
About this Site - *smirks* Cute explaination, Pet. This page is rather useless, because you've do the explaination right on the main graphic.
Serena - I can't get mad at this being Serena, and not Usagi. Mostly because this is about stupid lines in the Dub... and these lines are dumb. They aren't all that funny...
Raye - Which is what Ami, Raye, Lita & Mina should be actually called, considering it's only Raye. Did Amy send her japanese self in so that she wouldn't be embrassed about this? Because last time I checked, 'Amy' was american and 'Ami' was japanese (and are not pronounced the same).
Luna & Artemis - If it's not there, don't put it up.
Darien - Still non-funniness happening, luv. It wasn't funny when I first say it, and it's not funny now. But then, I also have an extreme dislike of Darien/Mamoru/Endymion that transcends politeness.
Duos- Why do I fell that should be Gundam Wing? Oh right, Duo Maxwell, Animeism God of Mechas. Probably should make the title 'Pairs'. The last one is the only funny one on this page (and all the ones before it...)
Friends - ... The melvin one made me smirk... and I made funny faces reading Molly's and Andrew's... I'm still looking for "The Funniest Things Said in the Sailormoon Dub"
YKYWTMSMW - ... these are fairly lame... I take japanese so that I can actually understand what they're saying when I go there. Bubble baths? Why would you take a bubble bath instead of a shower?

Special - We can agree on something! Eh, sorry if I sound non-happy with your whole page, but I'm not really into the whole dubbed Sailormoon experience. Why you think I go by Aianmausu and not Ironmouse?
¤ Useless splash. The graphics is satisfactory. Check your grammer (most funniest). Your disclaimer is wrong, Dic hold copyright for the concept of 'Sailormoon Says' as well as rights to the scripts for the first few seasons, so include them. If you mean you have copyright to the site then you should say so of italicise/ underline it (signifying the site not the concept in general). The images don't belong to Bianca, she just provided them; they belong to the artistes and copyright holders.
¤ Is there a point to the frame on the left? Methinks not. Sicne is use a superior 1024 x 768 resolution, the top graphic repeats itself, and is rather unsightly, though the I like the fact that you are keeping a theme to your graphics. The little bit about the about section, links, and credits are mundane repition of teh obvious that should be removed. Latest update should be on a mainpage. Rather irritaing the when I hover my mouse I can't see the text of the link anymore.
¤ The 'about the site' section is okay, but the note about the 'YKYWTMSMW' part is annoying. It has no relevance being mentioned.
¤ Why do some of the quotes have episode citations and others not? The Amy, Raye, Lita, and Mina section has only two quotes and the Luna/ Artemis section is empty. How about actually having something up for me to review. In Darien's section you use the word 'agrable', I can't even discpher what word you meant. Grammer and correct punctation are our friends. Also, use Amy not Ami, you are referring to the NA dub completly in the site so don't use the Japanese names.
¤ Your second argument in the 'YKYWTMSMW' is vague and the third is irrelevant as is the eleventh or 23rd. Why do you feel the need to make four pages when one will suffice? We do have such things as scroll bars on the windows.
¤ Link list...bad memories. I suggest you find a new name before every computer science student impales you for mentioning the accursed linklists. The link to you other site needs to open in a new window, the frame limits the viewing space. Why isit that the same four buttons on your mainpage are the only links in you link section. Funny that you supply and html code but don't code in it. Geocities does not allow direct linking and not everyone supports bmps (which coincdentially take up a lot of space). The button is okay, but the colors do not match very well.
¤ I suggest introducing your 'credits' section to a little friend I call grammer.
¤ About you little rant section...
1. Serena is a crybaby deal with it, she is that way in the original.
2. It's part of the story line, and actually 14 year old girls do fight like that.
3. Your opinon on Mimette is just that. An opinion without any support.
4. Neptune really isn't that compassionate. She is rather insensitive, have you seen the later series?
5. Although agree with you, I must defend that CWi is ADAPTING these for American audiences not do a word for word translation. Be happy, otherwise this would be rather mature and you wouldn't be watching it.
6. As I said, ratings matter. Escanflowne is not aired on primetime. As in DBZ it's not fireballs, they are energy, and most of them don't die, they end up coming (being wished) back on numerous occasions. Also, DBZ has seen it's fair share of editing (actually more) as well and the fans don't complain as much as the SM fanbase either.
¤ According to your updates, the last time you actually added something pertaining to the orignal theme of the site was August 4th.
¤ Don't assert how smart you think you are (he who knows does not say, and he who does not know says- Confucious). If you plan to keep this site up, why is there such a jump between the updates? You claim to build many sites, so why don't you know html? The little thing about 'Ren and Stimpy' should be taken out, it's useless and takes up space. Wonderful, your 'central site' dne (does not exist as my cal teacher says).
It’s never a very good sign when someone comes to a site and a download/open box immediately appears. I said that the box should open the file and the file ended up appearing in my paint program and the left frame turned into a dead link. The splash page is completely unnecessary; Arial is a pretty standard font on most computers, plus your splash page is in a frame. I don’t understand your obsession with bitmap images, your banner is yet another bitmap file and I had a little open/download box appear. Take my advice and make all your images either gif or jpg files.
You have an interesting concept behind your site but there’s barely anything here. You have a few quotes, but they don’t even start to touch down on the horrendous dubbing of Sailor Moon (especially by Dic). When Melvin said things like “babealicious” girls, and then there were all the lame jokes and “Sailor Moon says be a friend” at the end of each episode, then the gross mischoice (is that a word?) of voices for Naru and Luna. I’m just wondering how familiar you are with the Japanese version of Sailor Moon, based on some of your comments it seems as if you are not very literate in terms of the Japanese version of Sailor Moon. If you are focusing on the English version of Sailor Moon then Ami should be spelled Amy, or I think I’ve also seen it spelled Amye.
I don’t know why you have all that YKYWTMSMW stuff on four different pages. There were only a total of 30 things on your list so I didn't understand why all the pages had to be separate. This section is funny, and in my opinion is the only slightly redeemable thing on your site.
Overall: Umm…There isn’t much content, all the images except the background after you get past the splash page are in bitmap form. There’s barely any content, if this page is supposed to be a Dic/Cloverway Sailor Moon Quotes page then the webmistress has to buckle down and get more of them. The webmistress has to demonstrate more of a knowledge that she has seen the Japanese version (if she has) because it’s useless to point out how the North American version should be changed if you haven’t seen the original. Above all I have abhor having a dead page in my left frame. I thought that this site was built entirely in HTML, but I took a gander at the “view source” in the right frame and you did use a pagebuilder. It took me about 10 min. to browse through the miniscule amount of content on the site and I probably wouldn’t come back unless many changes were made. I found this site to really be quite pointless. I hope that all made sense because it's 4:09 am and I really have to go to bed.

| Layout: Your layout is cute and clean. The Geocities ad is pretty annoying, but I gues there's not much you can do about that. Organization: I'd organize your links into different categories on the main page, such as Quotes and Site-Related. It makes it easier for people to find what they're looking for. As your main page stands now, everything seems to be all jumbled together. The extra links at the bottom like "About Me" and "Awards" could be just combined with the links at the top. Call "Special" Opinions instead so we know what you're talking about. Content: Personally, I didn't need the About this Site page. You say the same thing in the cute title graphic. You don't seem to have many quotes yet, and I *know* that the English adaptation is notorious for stupid lines. Try to expand the characters' pages. Don't link a page that doesn't have anything on it yet. Your link button needs to be converted to JPG or GIF format. BMP is not an internet standard. Mechanics: O_O Bang. Right on your title graphic is a glaring error. Never, never say "The Most Funniest." It's redundant. Either say "The Most Funny" or "The Funniest." That's the only thing I noticed, though. I think your site has potential, but it's still small yet. Good luck in adding more funny quotes. |
