Pretty in Pink
theme: Chibi-Usa

At first I thought 'this must be a re-review' because I've already done a chibi-usa shrine called pretty in pink'. but it isn't the same site. that tells ya how unoriginal sailor moon titles can be. The splash pic is too big, and a splash page is useless because there aren't any requirements or options. the title graphic has been sharpened too much, it looks bad. the introduction has very bad english. the guestbook and email buttons and counter could be centered, it would just look better. the text on the buttons covers their faces, you might want to fade the image more.
Gallery-the title is too big, it should only be on one line. make a <br> before the pictures. The text seems a little off, try moving it around. there is no need to sign *miyu* after the messages, i mean, who else would be writing them? should be 'until' not 'untell'. each picture leads to a .html when it should lead to a .jpg or .gif. just link the thumbail image to the fullsized image. take another look at an HTML book. some of them aren't of good quality, get rid of those. Instead of 'main page' put 'back' or 'home'.
Awards-I dislike it when beginners give out awards. it's really lame. at least you have a form. the second award had a bad picture and unreadable text. the first one looks good.
Black Lady-It's really annoying to have to read chibi-usa/rini all the time. pick one name and stick to it. There is a very short paragraph here, and it really should be longer. ask Kaolinite, I think she has a black lady shrine. the second picture shouldn't be there, it's from the wrong season. it has nothing to do with black lady.
Credits-It's very good that you have a credits page. the front is a little too big, and the colour is too much like the background.
Chibi-Usa-That is a very ugly picture. Serena's last name isn't campbell, it's still Tsukino in the anime. yes, it is very confusing. the main problem I have with this section is that it should be seperated into either anime only and manga only, or you should only say Rini or only say Chibi-Usa...you get the idea. this section is WAY to short. I expected a detailed personality examination, instead I just got who her parents are. blah.
Music-this is weird because it leads to a tripod page. the music should only be for Rini, so get rid of the jupiter and mercury stuff.  I'm listening to 'a thousand years ago' and like most MIDI music it got all fuzzy when i changed back here. what annoys me most is that it opens in a page that is nothing but the quicktime thing. find out how to listen to the MIDI and go back to pretty in pink.
Name meaning-her name is a nickname, it doesn't really mean little rabbit. the chibi refers not to the rabbit, but to usagi. understand? this section is kinda pointless, it can be included in Who is Rini.
Links-even though most of these are well known pages, you should include a short thing about what that site is about. i look forward to seeing the I Review banner there.
Link Me-most people use 88 x 31 buttons now, make some of those.
Quiz-these should only be about chibi usa. you mean she isn't the senshi of pink sugar?? oops.
Email-this leads to a form, which is different but good. the image shouldn't be of neptune.
Guestbook-pink on white is hard to read. try pink on black.
Overall, this site is a start. It has a good layout, but far too little content. the main problem is that manga, north america anime and japanese anime names and information should all be seperate.

Splash- How cute! Usa and Chibi-chibi with sunflowers. From the yellowness of the picture... would it be safe to assume the site will be yellow colored? Let us find out.
Layout - So I was wrong, it's purple, grey and orange-brown (which is just an AWFUL color for this page!) 'Pretty in Pink' cute name. Aside from the fact the site is purple... Text is a bit too light, it's hard to read, and the text box is tiny (at least on my computer)
Gallery - "chibi-usa/rini picture gallery" You should capitalize proper names. I learned that back in grade 2. I'm sure to a Chibi-usa fan, this is an amazing gallery. However, I only like the picture of Black Lady. The background doesn't fit with the front page. Bad, bad no-no there.
Chibi-Usa - Again with the lack of capitals. *blinks* Serena... Campbell? I thought Campbell was my neightboor... uh, anyways, I wasn't aware that Serena had thirty separate names but... oh-kay. "Neo Princess Serenity"? That's wrong, proper title is Small Lady Serenity [Usagi]. Now, that was a rather short bit on Chibi-usa. No details on her horrid personality. Which is good, because it means I have to read less Chibi-usa.
Submit a Story - Okay, maybe you should make the front page look like the rest of the site. Anyways, that's a really lame little intro for stories, and why can't you capitalise proper names?! Oi, I'd hate to be called "seera aianmausu" or "li xiang". Capitals!!! And that's a sad wittle form. doesn't even light up with itself.
Funny SM Pics - "take the mick out"? What the hell does that mean? These are funny, but the caption on the Makoto/Usagi picture is just plain stupid. She's looking at Mako's hand. She's obviously surprised at being caught evesdropping on Mako.
Credits - Not going there.
Quiz- Oh god, how easy is this quiz? Excuse me while I go back to reading Knives and Legato bashing an author for makign them OOC...

¤ Once again a splash page that serves abosolutly no purpose. The graphics quality is mundane considering that level that is offererred. The Christmas pic is ok, except I'm not Christian and it bothers me. Not to mention is was made for a white background and when the lights light up there is an unsightly background.
¤ The background is intended for 800 x 600 and looks bad with my 1024 x 768 resolution. Main pic quality is bad once again. Why do some links have buttons and others not? Grammer and capitalization are good. The "this page has been visited" blurb is pointless. Everyone knows what a counter does.
¤ Learn to thumbnail in the gallery.
¤ Your credits are sparse. I'm highly positive that you obtained you content from many other sites.
¤ I do believe that since reviewers are providing a service for your site you should link them.
¤ The award names are rather wordy. The first award looks like it was stolen since none of the other graphics are of that quality, though it is not really very good either.
¤ Your information on Chibi-usa is incredibly wrong. If you are going to use dub names use dub names, if not then don't; don't interchange them and as a future warning, don't mix manga with anime. Also I don't beleive in the dub Serena's last name is Campbell. Serena and Darien are not future king and queen of the Earth. Endymion and Serenity are the soveriegnty of Crystal Tokyo. Chibi Usa is short for Chibi Usagi not Usagi. Usagi is Neo Queen Serenity not "Princess". You could have included some information on Blacklady and the reason she was sent to the present.
¤ The information on Blacklady is once again somewhat incorrect. She did not want to destroy the world or Tuxedo Kamen. She wanted to eliminate the senshi but keep Tuxedo Kamen as her lover. If you want to look at the situation literally, she was not "turned bad by the dark power of the Wiseman". She wanted revenge and accepted his help. His power only asisted her. Once again stop jumping between Japanese and the English version. Grammer is horrendous.
¤ Being this is a Chibi Usa site, I find it akward that the theme music provided is not exclusivly her theme music.
¤ The quiz is redundantly easy and deviates from the subject of the site. You submission method is bad. Not everyone is a geocities member. You should use an email form or a javascript function.
¤ Your name meanings are incorret as well. In English, her name is Rini, it has nothing to do with Serena. Calm has a "c" not a "k".
¤ Rather pointless that you have two unrelated pics with captions that have nothing to do with the shots in question. What grade are you in? 5th? Your grammer is horrible!
¤ The stories you are looking for must be very short if you think they will fit into the form.
¤ The idea of creating a senshi is mundane. The text elements do not line up next to the forms. You don't have anywhere to post these so it is redunant.
¤ I do not understand why you couldn't just post your email instead of using another form.
¤ Overall, this site has no value. It is a waste of websapce. There is no original content of original presentation. Most of the sections are incorrect. Some are just added to facilitate the feign content. On this site, grammer and punctuation and any use of language has reached the epitamy of lowliness. This is the kinda site that makes me glad that I use html and never used a WYSIWYG builder. I don't she how you can put up with the shame of having such a worthless site up unless this is some large joke.

Why did you change the layout during review time? You’re NOT supposed to be changing your layout while your site is being reviewed! Couldn’t you wait a week to do updates! I’m not saying the changes weren’t for the better but you’re not supposed to submit your site until it’s exactly how you want the reviewers to see it! Second of all, about your site name…it’s completely unoriginal. A site called Chibi Usa: Pretty in Pink already exists on the net. I believe that this site existed before yours as well. There are hundreds of possibilities for names for your site and you choose the name of one of the few half-decent Chibi-Usa shrines on the net. For shame!

Negatives of your site:
- pointless splash page
- you got the layout from kutieusagi.org not kutieusagi.com like you put on your main page
- light grey does not look good on lavender
- don’t use frames layouts if your using a page builder (I’m guessing that’s whey there’s an empty space on your layout right now)
- Why do ‘welcome’ and ‘my site’ link back to your pointless splash page
- Your counter doesn’t go with the layout
- On every page it doesn’t say the name of the section it just says index or frontpage depending on what you named it in terms of HTML
- Don’t use Chibi-Usa/Rini, stick to either Japanese names or English names please
- No credits for the source of your meager amount of pictures
- Pictures take forever to load because they were put on there with a page builder
- No ALT text on pictures
- You use the same background throughout the site
- Names and titles are very rarely capitalized
- I don’t understand why you created separate HTML pages for the larger forms of each of the pictures
- You didn’t have a very large variety of pictures
- By underlining “click on the picture for full size”, you made it look like a
link
- Usagi’s last name is not Campbell in the English version of the show, when she introduces herself in a dubbed S episode, she called herself Serena Tsukino. DIC may have changed Ami’s name to Amy Anderson and Mamoru’s to Darien Shields, but I don’t think they ever changed Usagi’s last name.
- In Japan, Usagi’s name would be Tsukino Usagi, not Usagi Tsukino
- The info you have on the Chibi-Usa page is stuff you can find on any site
- Your information about Chibi-Usa was hard to read even though what you were saying was very simplistic
- “good.” is a sentence fragment, and besides that it’s not even capitalized
- Your site is littered with spelling and grammar errors.
- What are you taking about when you say, “these pictures aren't meant to take the mick out of sailor moon”, I’m sorry, maybe I just haven’t heard this expression before
- You only have two pictures on the funny pictures page and they don’t even have anything to do with Chibi-Usa, the pictures aren’t thumbnailed either
- There’s no field for name/nickname in the quiz section, I hate the way this quiz is set up and the quiz only has one question pertaining to Chibi-Usa on it

Positives of your site:
Um…(thinks hard)
- thumbnails of pictures in Chibi-Usa picture section
- your links all work
- you have a credits section
- I guess you have a unique way of getting people to submit fanfiction

Overall:
This site wasn’t even a shrine! Overall your site was not creative and frankly I disliked it. I learned nothing new on this site and I wouldn’t come back. I’d rather go to the original Pretty in Pink then to this site again! This looks like a site that was just thrown together in a couple of hours. Your site was littered with at least 50 spelling and grammar mistakes and I don’t even understand how that could occur since you have very little content. I was disappointed with this site. The site was confusing even though the information should have been easy to understand. The site taught me nothing new or interesting about the character. Come to think of it, only two pages had any information or pictures of Chibi-Usa on them. I disliked this site very much and I would never come back unless very drastic improvements were made. One more thing…how much more work would it take to put your writing through a spelling and grammar check before posting it?

From, Kaioh Michiru

Layout- All I can say is, "Ick." Lots of my pet peeves are running amok. The splash page has no purpose, the text on your main page is in an annoying teeny tiny box, and you didn't make the layout yourself. You need to draw more attention to your site's name on the main page, too. And what's with the huge blank table on the main page? The links to email and the guestbook should not be larger than the links to the different pages of your site.
Coding- TITLE tags are your friend. Use them. And those are _not_ real thumbnails on your gallery page. Find a tutorial on how to make real ones in your nearest friendly image editor. It looks like you need to learn HTML as well.
Organization- I wouldn't put the gallery highest up in the navigation, but otherwise I didn't have any trouble finding anything.
Content- Your content needs work. If this is a Chibiusa shrine, add more information on her. Lots of it. It's good you have a credits page, but where did you get your images? They need to be credited as well. If this is an "anything goes" site, you need to concentrate on one area and make it really good.
Mechanics- Proper names need to be capitalized. Your Chibiusa page isn't very well written; I'd suggest doing it over. You have run-on sentences in several places as well.
