Theme: fanfiction reviewers
Well, it's one of those sites that submits to every WPR and yet changes nothing. I really hate webmasters like that. Why bother asking for advice if you're not going to do anything with it? ugh.
The splash is useless but the colours of the crap matches, so that's a bonus. I'm sure if you tweeked this layout you could get rid of the right gray scroll bar. The creed of the site is a lot like that of most WPRs. Sites suck, we are going to say so in an effort to make sites better. Replace site with fanfiction and that's what JWD is about. Her name is the same as her site's, which is stupid.
I really don't want to go through all this information about the senshi. It's really great that you have the facts here as a resource to fic writers. The gallery does not use real thumbnails. What, did Lissa not explain that? Also, you might want to include some anime images. The bit on Kousagi is confusing, it MUST be explicitly stated that Kousagi is kind of like a fanfiction written by Naoko. Chibi-Usa is their ONLY daughter, ever. In the Ami section, what you wrote is false. For heck's sake, Fisheye seduces Ami's mom! Oh course we see her, and Ami's father. Why is there so little about Rei & Makoto in the myth section? It's miko, not mika. Her chant is not the two words you have there, that's from the Mixx manga and it's not actually what Japanese Rei is saying. Why isn't there a friends section for the outer senshi? You could explain the reason behind their close, secerative frienship. You should include Hotaru's mother's death, as well as chibi-usa and kaolinite.
Meet the Editors & Reviewers should be a side box, not just a link in one of the sections. So you edit hentai fics as well? I've heard the 'keep it simple stupid' advice too, but i HATE reading basic information about characters. I KNOW about haruka & michiru's relationship, i don't need it explained to me. I really hope fic writers read your tips section, because it's all good advice.
The rest of this is extra crap that doesn't need to be reviewed. I like your contest ideas. Overall, this site has a good reason to exist, which is actually rare in the online SM world. Your reviewing is a little slow, but fics take a while. I'm sure you'll be going strong quite soon. I can feel the love.
Splash: Requirements are clearly listed, but they should be placed on the page in text form rather than upon the graphic. That way, I can enter the site if I don’t want to wait for the graphic to load. The cliques should be on a separate page. Wait, the requirements say “pop-up” and the layout doesn’t conform to that. The requirements should say inline frames not just “frames”.
Main: The layout is nice except for the fact that the navigation is horrendous. I don’t like clicking on little tiny squares, but at least you have ALT text. The introduction is explained fairly well, good job.
Bios: Do I really have to go through all this? Oy…I guess so. For Usagi’s profile, her English last name is not “Campbell”, I’ve seen that information on different sites, but provide proof for me and then I’ll believe you. The profile had a little more than I usually see, but it was still boring. You have lots of great information, but include more credits, you said you got all this information from different sites and for all I know you could’ve just copied and pasted it. Okay, when you’re talking about Motoki you say “He is also best friends with Mamoru, which presents a bigger problem in the anime, than the manga as Mamoru also hangs out at the same arcade.” I don’t understand what the means, as far as I know Motoki is never in danger because Mamoru hangs out at the arcade in the anime. Also Mamoru isn’t really Motoki’s best friend in the manga, he’s just Motoki’s friend when he’s the evil “Endo” (and that’s because Mamoru indoctrinated Motoki). At least the gallery is in real thumbnail form, but you should have ALT text. I don’t really know why the pictures are necessary. You spell Mercury wrong once in the profile. Are the name analysis’ really necessary, I guess they may be a little fun to read, but only when it’s about your own name I find. Where in the hell does all the “favourite flowers” info come from on the profiles page? As far as I know Rei-chan’s favourite flower is the casablanca. Rei is a miko not a mika. Why is Rei, “considered either the first, or second most powerful of the inner senshi”, I agree that she is powerful, but nowhere does it state that in the Manga or the Anime, the only object of proof is Phobos and Deimos. I think that’s just your own opinion without backup or explanations. Each inner senshi has their own unique power so I don’t think that you can name a “most powerful” inner senshi. Most profiles I’ve seen say that Kino Makoto means “wisdom of trees” not “honesty of trees”. What does the second part of this sentence mean, I think you left off a portion of it, “We first meet Makoto when she saves Usagi from a speeding car, and then later a group of men.” Minako’s English last name is not “Tanner” damnit, Amye and Darien were the only characters who got English last names in the DiC version (those being Anderson and Shields) and Cloverway kept everyone’s family names in tact. Um…I don’t think that Mamoru has a favourite gemstone, you said it’s a garnet, but I don’t believe he has one. You have a misplaced apostrophe and s when you’re talking about Tuxedo Kamen’s mask. Sometimes you also use the wrong words like “alone” instead of along (see info about Usagi in Tuxedo Kamen section) which I’m sure is completely by accident. You say that Uranus’ space sword is like a “jeweled dagger”, but that’s only true in the anime. The picture you used for Michiru’s “violin” is actually a picture of her cello. She owns a cello only in the Manga, but she’s more famous for playing the violin. You’re missing an essential item of Setsuna’s, the time keys that she wears around her waist in the Manga. Hotaru also had a mother that died and you need to put a page break tag after family on the Hotaru profile page. As you can see there are several small mistakes in this section that need to be fixed, but overall it was well done. I think that you should have more credits though. I guess this would be fairly useful as a reference for characterization.
Information on Editing/Reviewing: Everything seems strait forward, though I don’t think you should necessarily be giving out awards for fanfiction. The individual reviewer profiles didn’t have back buttons. I went to the submit section and found out that nine different forms to fill out for the various sections of the site. I assumed that the “submit” section would come strait to the section where I could apply to become a reviewer/editor not to those two forms and seven others that have nothing to do with becoming a reviewer/editor.
Reviews: The review was okay I guess, I don’t read a large amount of fanfiction, but Luna’s review seemed a little short considering the background she claims to have. The story “Sky & Sea Have Collide” lead to a dead link and I don’t understand why collide isn’t collided, is that a spelling error of you or of the fanfic writer?
Common Problems: The common problems section was very interesting, it seemed as if you have a broad knowledge of fanfictions. I’m sure that some of the knowledge in the “grammar” section is from your own perspective, but seems as if some of it is also textbook information, in which case the source should be cited.
Interact and Contests: The tag board is a good idea but I don’t think that people will use it for discussing fanfiction. Penpals should not be on a fanfiction site. I doubt that your site is popular enough to have a chat room (no offense, but those types of things should be reserved to sites that get lots of traffic). The fanfic picture contest isn’t unique to your site; I first found it on Katigillian’s. I believe that she had the original idea. Caption contests aren’t original either, but it’s nice to see interaction relating to fanfiction on this site. The prizes look nice; maybe I’ll submit a fanfiction. I like free stuff :)
Site: I see no link to “I Review”. The buttons are not standard sized either. Make some 88x31 buttons.
Submit: I don’t really like how you have to go into a separate section to submit anything. What I mean is that the form for applying to become a reviewer should run right off of the staff profiles page, the form for applying for the caption contest should be linked from the captions rules page, ect.
Overall: There are a few small spelling and grammar mistakes that could easily be fixed with a quick sweep over the site. You also tend to use wrong words in some spots of your site (ie. required instead of acquired in the Common Problems section). This site is missing a few back buttons. For the most part I was impressed, though I can’t really say that I’m overly familiar with fanfiction or writers. I’m incredibly tired and I want to eat my chocolate cake, but I have to wait till tommorow.

Man. Your submitting to a lot of WPRs. Happily enough, you haven't submitted to my own WPR. Good for me. Okay, bold letters here. YOU DO NOT NEED A SPLASH PAGE FOR FRAMES. ONLY I-FRAMES AND FOR A POP UP. GET RID OF THE USLESS SPLASH PAGE! Alrightly. I am done. I am just sick of seeing useless splash pages. Layout is nothing special, it looks funny. You choose a horrible picture of Princess Serenity to use on your layout. Okay, I really don't care how your site got started. Plus, you need to have an About section to put that it. It clutters up you main page so badly. Why are the boxes so small? Make them bigger so people iwll actually notice them! Wait. This is a WPR? I thought it was a fan fiction site. Anyways. Now that I think of it, your layout looks like I have seen it before. Can't think of it now, but it will come to me.
Many tips, though the pages do not explain enough. They are too short, explain it more. Eeek. So many words in your title thing. Come on, people can be original without you telling them to be. Oops, I thought those were profiles of your reviewing staff. Geez! I hate clicking everywhere to see one thing! Most of the things in the bios can be added together! I thought this was a fan fict WPR, now its a Sailor Moon site? Too many themes. Finished Reviews and Pending Reviews can all be on one page, since you haven't done any yet. Duh. Spipping the contests since I don't plan to enter. I just noticed, how the tell am I supposed to get back to the main page? Put a box with a link back to the main page! Geez.
Ehh. I didn't like this site at all. I couldn't tell what it was. A WPR or a Sailor Moon site. Only choose one. Oh! Oh! I got it now, your layout looks like the one Tsuki no Mugen use to use before they closed! What did you do, copy they're HTML? Anyways. I didn't like this site. Bottom line. Poo poo to you.
The splash page isn't that big of a deal, it's pretty nice looking and well
organized, and it serves a purpose. For the two banners underneath the enter
image, they have these ugly borders. When I entered the page, the background was
brown because my color theme on my computer is plum, and you were too lazy to
put a background color on your webpage. It's really irritating, and I want to
keep my color theme because it matches my wallpaper.
You claim that your site "just got started", so are you sure you're ready for a
review? I'll ignore that and go on.
Well, it took me a while to find your navigation links, thanks for waisting my
time. Those little square things are a terrible thing to use for navigation.
Hm.. this page loads quikly, that's good, ARGH! Geocities has got to be the
worst host on the net >_<
The profiles are nice and informative, but I'm not going to bother reading them
because I don't really care what Usagi's blood type is.
You review fanfiction? Alot of content on here is just really random, it's a bit
irritating. Oh, okay, this is a fanfiction based site, then what was the point
of those profiles? Simplicity is nice, it makes everyones lives easier. I don't
know what to say other than to get your site more organized, and make it more
clear as to what the purpose of it is.
