Pyro Recruits
Theme: WPR

Okay, these guys have moved. Their image, which proclaims MOVED! took far too long to load. Why bother having an image when the text says the same? sheesh.
DAMN! They changed the layout! I really wanted to get all pissed off about how unappropriate the image was. I swear to GOD it looked like she was getting RAPED. >.<
Okay, on the review. First, I don't like you title on bit. You aren't recruiting pyros! You name is meaningless! This splash image is ugly, I hate those triangle things. Not pretty. Also, the text goes too far into my screen on the left, cutting off part of the first letters. You are one of those hip people, aren't you? Tiny font? Grades? ugh.
Now, just so you know, I have to switch back and forth from your site to tripod so I can type. This means your f11 requirement REALLY BUGS ME! You can have the exact same layout without having to f11. STOP TRYING TO BE COOL!
ooh, I can still rant! You layout is perverted! Her skirt is so damn short I'm surprised it's not a panty shot. Also, what the HELL is he holding? is that a sword's hilt? cause it looks like he's about to ram it up her ass.
Do you know what 'enroll' means? if you hope that we enroll with you, that would mean you hope we start working with you, JOINING your team. pah. Shit, I just realized something. This is not a sailor moon site. Did you read I Review's rules before submitting?! you're one of those numpties that submits to every WPR in existance. I hate it when sites do that. I'm in the about section now, and the text problem gets worse. Because of the diverse colours in the layout, no one colours is good to use to read. sucks. you should know better than to say "hey, that's a cool pic, I'm using it in my layout and reading be damned!"
Please stop telling me to enjoy my stay. Please stop grovelling to your host.
You've got a bunch of reviewers, great. Big teams are usually best. The profiles were a bit long, try to shorten them.
you've got a '&ns' code thing on your rules page. Be more specific with the first rule, it's kinda confusing. You say to pick three people, you might wanna put that in the rules page. and stop spacing everything so widely!! Yup, you grade. ah, bane of the wpr world..-_-
Details is..pretty farkin' obvious! don't even bother saying this stuff, any IDIOT knows it. Frankly, you have too many superflous sections.
Why do people bother numbering reviews? I mean, REALLY. are you trying to impress someone..? I just don't get it.
You should put the apply form in the drill section. I'd forget that stupid 'pyro means fire' rule by time I got to this form.
I notice that IR isn't on your list. poot. I've seen the affiliates vs sisters article on some other WPR. Did you steal it or is it the same author? Why bother having two sections for rants and articles, which are pretty much the same thing. just one is a pissed off version of the other. About requiring a link, I see it as payment. Everything must be paid for. I give up my time to review you, the least you can do in return is a thanks link. I do pretty much the same thing as book editors, and they get paid!
AHA! You can see the old pic in the guestbook. HE IS ******* HER FROM BEHIND! LOOK AT HIS FACE! how the HELL can you put that in a layout of something that isn't a hentai site? 15 year olds could see that. I REALLY disagree with it. and then someone looks at the sentece I just wrote and yells at me. I'm leaving it as it is because I'm damn outraged to see something so graphically portrayed. They aren't "doing it" eh? then why are his pants around his ankles? >.<
Overall, this site REALLY irked me. It's got a crappy, almost non-funcional layout, & WAY too much extra crap. The only thing a WPR needs is reviews. Try to remember that.

Moving is not something you do when you’re being reviewed! I like the name of your WPR, but it doesn’t really reveal anything concerning the contents of the site. I love the splash image and layout. Though I’m not familiar with the video game Magna Carta, the image is edited well. The only problems I have with the layout is the fact that you have all that space to write your menu on, and you choose to put your text on a small portion of it in itsy bitsy letters. Pick a reasonable size for the text! I hate when people have huge layouts with such small text for navigation. My other major gripe is the fact that you didn’t decide to use CCS for the scroller, but overall it is a nice layout.

About/Main: Ah…what makes you think that a guy would want to review a hentai site and not a girl. Do guys automatically have the affiliation of liking ecchi things in your eyes? I wouldn’t mind reviewing a Yaoi site for a change and I’m a female. If you don’t want to review hentai sites, than just put that in your rules. If May can’t do reviews, then just remove her from the review request form for a temporary period of time. The CSS is really bad because the white sometimes blends into the background (for an example look at the About section under “Site”. There are no back buttons to be seen anywhere, I would advise you to add them.

The About – Site section was really boring, you don’t have a very extensive history and I think having this section is really dumb. Wow, so you told me you “don’t sugar coat” and aren’t “harsh”, the rest is just about being hosted and the fact that you are the second owner. I didn’t come to this site to look at useless content. The “about the layout” is another pointless section. Yumemiru has this section too, but theirs is actually interesting because they talk about the Manga/Anime that’s currently on their layout. I understand that you haven’t played Magna Carta, but dig up some information about it and put a little effort into this section. When I came into the site I saw credit for the picture you used and I noticed you used grids and as for not stealing the layout, that’s a given. Eliminate this section pronto! The “recruits” section tells me very little about the personality of the reviewers, though I must admit that many of the identification pictures are kawaii and well edited.

Drill: In the rules section you have a slight error with your coding, I can see the “&nbs” on the top of your page. Since when is submitting a site for a review called “enrolling”, I guess the word makes sense but I usually wouldn’t use it in that context. I think you have your definitions of ecchi and hentai confused. Lets see if I can find my nifty Japanese-English dictionary and look the words up. Yup, they both mean pretty much the same thing:
Hentai: abnormality, pervert
Ecchi: indecent, lewd
Hentai does not mean “anime porn”, it just means perverted. Here’s an example of the word hentai used in a sentence. “Hino Rei’s Grandfather is hentai in the Anime version of BSSM.” (that’s a quote from me and it’s true too) I would suggest that you just put that you don’t review anime pornography sites, it makes things a hell of a lot easier. The rules were at least pretty strait forward, just change the one I just mentioned.
The word service is spelled wrong on the menu. The service stuff should be in some other section and are things that apply to most every WPR. I think that grading is stupid and the “method” section didn’t tell me anything except that each grader reviews differently and your mark is given in the form of letter names ~yawn~. Can you tell I’m bored? How much useless stuff do you have on here? The details were things that any screwball could guess at. Obviously you like originality and hate copiers. Do you really have to list all this; anyone with common sense already knows this. Oh, and you have one mistake, does this make sense “MIDIS (with an expect of a few)”, I think you mean exception. Most of this was just boring, useless crud, condense all of it onto one page.

Files: It’s not very appealing to think that the webmistress mixed up who’s reviewing what site. You have a few small grammatical errors on the site (ie. using is instead of are) Isn’t this a little redundant, “Our recent reviews we just finished.” No da, if they’re recent reviews then I expect that you just finished them. Err…you seem to give lots of suggestions in terms of improving the layout, but next to none when it comes to content (comparatively). The solution to pop-up ads is not moving to Brinkster (they may not have ads, but can be unreliable at times), it’s just minimizing the pop-up ads, not exiting out of them every time they pop-up (hope that made sense). I must say that your reviews are about average for a WPR (though you do slide into the sugarcoating category in quite a few instances). Check out the link to the Pure-Heart Reviews site, you didn’t include the http so it’s registering as a dead page. One of my biggest complaints about the reviews is the fact that 80% of the opinions expressed have to do with the layouts or graphics.

Links: The useful links are well…useful, though perhaps you could put a little bit more information up about the web servers. I’m offended that “I Review” isn’t on your WPR list. We’re reviewing you for gosh durn sakes and we aren’t even on the list. Sugoi, I didn’t know that there was a WPR specifically for evaluating layouts. The affiliates’ buttons should all have ALT text. The links section should be after the articles section. If you place the links section before the articles then people will most likely leave before finishing the browsing of your site.

Misc.: These articles are very bad and poorly written. I’ve seen articles about these subjects on other websites and this site offers no new twist on them. Articles should usually be 250 words or more, not 140 words. Your Midi article is 140 words; I copied and pasted it into Microsoft Word because I was curious. Articles this short just look pathetic and there’s only three of them. In the layouts article it almost sounds as if you’re putting a good layout above good content (in terms of what’s important on a site). Though I know the difference between a sister and affiliate, I am kind of glad that article about them is there for clarification. Wow, one rant, I feel so privileged (sarcasm) and I’ve seen articles written about that subject before. This is boring. The link to your guestbook didn't work because you forgot the http in the coding again.

Overall: You have quite a few grammatical errors, usually concerning the confusion of words (ie. their instead of they’re), some broken links and coding errors and the reviews are rather mediocre. There’s not really anything I can recommend here, there’s a lot of useless stuff on this site and stuff that could be condensed. When you get right down to it, there isn’t all that much here, the rules are just spread out over two or three pages, there’s three articles, one rant, very few reviews and a staff that seems to focus on layouts.

Notes: I'm going to do an ACTUAL review this time! Whahee!
Crash Count: None
Well, we have not only a moved page, but a splash page. You list "patience" as a requirement? Oh, damn. I have a bad feeling about this.
That layout (The new one, because this is last minute. Hectic week, ladies and gents), is difficult for me to read.
And why must every layout ever have that one font and the grids? *TWITCH TWITCH*
The links are a joy and a half to find. Please read that as sarcasm. Whoa, you guys are the Anti-Fishuu! What is this "Heeeelping...?" That's odd, I can't STAND the grids. But that's me, I'm not a grid-and-04-font person. (The grids are fine, when not directly underneath next) Links in white are impossible to read on this layout, and it's really making me angry. Peeves is spelt peeves, not peevs. "The messiest navigation thingy"? I'm not gonna ask, my profile talks about stealth ninjas. I hate dogs too.
That's a really big cast, or is that just the small window?
That's the "&nbs" doing on the rules page? The last sentence in the frist paragraph is a fragment..(Can't take chances. Last time I said Kaori would do it, I was the only one who reviewed except Fishuu) Here's something. These people are very clear on their hentai rules. That's good, because a lot of reviewers are hazy and confusing in that sense.
You're eliminating half the internet with that spelling rule, you know! ^.~
A lot of people know what "pyro" means, it's an easy rule to bypass there.
"Service" is a very good idea, giving the site owners an idea of how things are done.
Method is brief, but not as cute as ours. We win!
Details is just an extended list of pet peeves that could probably be in the method page (and probably should).
Is that the site I think it is in the queue? Were it not for the fact that Crystal's has improved a good bit, I'd be screaming at you to run away while you can right now.
It might be a good idea to point out that all the reviews in "Recent" are unfinished.
You guys review a lot of other WPRs.
And then I get into the reviews. (I'm reading the Anime Court one, for reference). I don’t agree with half the things in these reviews (Having an About Me page is an incredibly good thing?), but it’s subjective, so I can’t be called to testify here. We’ll just chalk it up to a differnce of opinion and say that, for the record, the style is different. The reviewer icon linking to their review thing is everywhere, really..
That’s a long WPR list.
Articles and rants are different things?
I can’t help but notice the overwhelming “Layout before Content” sentiment here. Maybe it’s just me, but isn’t that a bit backwards? Give me a good old classic lack of a layout with something interesting to read and I’ll be happy. I really couldn’t care much about how the sites I visit look, unless it means I can’t read.
Well, looks like I’m finished! What can I say? You’ve got a completely different style than we do, and I can respect that. This doesn’t mean I’m not going to send my henchmen after you, it just means that when I do, they’ll give you a nice greeting card before the assasination.
One you can’t read because there’s a grid.

I can understand moving, but... when you're getting a review? Oh well... At least you moved everything over so you can't get confused about what you're supposed to review/see, like some websites I could name. *innocent smile*
Splash - If it requires patience, is it going to take a long time to load? If it does, I suppose this splash is sort of useful-- if you've got a page that takes forever to load, it's better to tell someone, than to leave them hanging, and make them think there's something wrong with their computers or browsers. I like the picture too, I don't recognise the chick, but the guy looks like most hot bishounen types found in tactical rpgs.
Yes, I do so ever much like tactial rpgs, despite being completely unable to get past the first few battles.
Layout - Nice one. *thumbs up* I've heard the name Magna Carta before, but I don't have any idea what that is, so... oh well! The black text is hard to read, the white text (links) is easy, and the red text is blurry. I had to highlight the words in order to read them.
Places Aian doesn't go - About, Details (Drill), Links, Misc
Drill - Yay! The layout stays the same! *huggies* Sorry, I've been cruising (and reviewing) the net lately, and there's a whole buncha places that just don't understand that pages of the same site should have the same layout. *shakes her head* Anyways, back to the review...
Rules: Heey, the scrollbar matches. It's to bad no one's figured out how to get their image onto a scrollbar yet, ne? *blinks* Your name is Sammie? How weird is that! Mine is Sammi, without the 'e'! Hmm, some pretty basic rules, some nice ones of ecchi and yaoi (oh, my poor bleedin' heart, whenever someone says they hate yaoi... *sniffles* Matt-niichan gets so depressed...)
Service: *blinks* Hmm, fairly basic. *nodnods* I agree with most, if not everything on this list-- you get the Aian Stamp of Approval.
Method: *shivers* Teachers. Don't remind me. I'm off to grade 12 in under three weeks... Hmm, they post their non-reviewing things. I just stuff them into a list in my review. Hey Fish, we here to help? Grading systems... they don't really give a good look at the site when there isn't more than one reviewer on the team, but, I did already read that you've got three reviewers per review, so it's a much more fair way to do things. Nice.
Files - Ah, the review. I'll poke my nose at a couple of the sites, and see what they're like. *nods* Nice reviews, what I read has no smartass comments in it... Haven't been in the business long, eh? Your reviews are pretty good for a group's that started in June. I might send The Fourth Wall or Faded Fantasies over to ya'll to review sometime.
By the time I reached the end of this review, I'd already found my way to the Offical Magna Carta Page. It's a computer game! I love computer games! (and console games, and card games and...)

Hmm... splash page, but it's nice looking, so... oh well. Patience? Does this mean it loads slowly? I have a cable modem, so maybe it does and I won't be able to tell. Or, it could be you have to be patient in waiting to be reviewed. OR your site is boring... hmm... Is this a review site? I assumed that for some reason. I can't tell what the purpose is by just looking at the slash page, which is why splash pages suck. They are a waste of time, and I bet your sweet booty that the layout uses the same picture. ORIGINALITY PLEASE! I want to find at least ONE original site!
Pretty layout, OH LOOK! It's the same picture, but reversed! WOAH! Who would've guessed *slaps face* The link to your guestbook is screwed up, and your past updates has a bottom dwelling scroll bar. Why do you need a guy to review hentai sites? I mean, I would be willing to, I'm a girl (a gay girl... but that's not the point...). Hmm..
I find it hard to read your content, the white shows up fine, but the black blends in to much.
Hmm... this sounds like a cool thing to be part of, the method is nice also. I'm actually getting idea's for Seraph from here ^^ It's gotta be good! I mean, I'd even like to join! But I already have far too much on my hands.
The recruits section is on the bottom of the links list, so it's not noticable enough, I mean, are not the reviews very important along with the reviews? That's just my opinion. The reviews themselves are hard to find also. This could be easier to navigate.
You forgot a "p" somewhere on your rules page, you figure it out kay ^^
Why do review webpages ask to be reviewed? It boggles my mind. But if that's what you like to do, then that's just fine, gives us other reviewers something to do.
